Welcome to The Search for Home, a website dedicated to offering the very best material for growth and maturity in the Christian life. The creator of this website is Pastor and Author Paul Delashaw. Pastor Paul has a rich academic background: Stanford University (B.A.), University of Oregon School of Law (J.D.), and Asbury Theological Seminary (M.Div.). He has been pastoring churches for twenty-four years. The result is a combination of wealth and experience that is now being put to use to write about the Christian life.
Young Life
In addition to writing and the pastoral ministry, Pastor Paul has a position with Young Life as College Director at the University of Iowa. If you’re not familiar with Young Life, we are a ministry that invites all young people (Middle School, High School, College Students, Special Needs, Teen Moms) to the table. Our primary mission is to let young people know about the love of God.
Prayer and Financial Support
Young Life is a ministry characterized by a life of prayer, so we invite you to pray for kids everywhere. Pray that God would watch over them and that every kid would experience the love of Jesus Christ. In addition, Young Life requires staff to raise a significant portion of their salary, so we are always looking for prayer partners, and we are always looking for people to offer financial support. In Iowa City we want to every college student to know God’s love, and we also want to develop Young Life in our high schools and middle schools.
